Frequently Asked Questions

Help! My shade sail has gone green, how do I clean it?

To keep your mesh shade sail in tip top condition it is a great idea to wash your sail with the garden hose using a moderate pressure every 6 weeks. Give both the top and underside a good soaking.

The best cleaning method for most shade sails is using Sugar Soap and a soft bristle brush or sponge (possibly easiest to do when the sail is down). Dilute according to instructions and then work the solution into the fabric and leave 15-20 minutes, then rinse well using the garden hose. Be careful not to damage the weave of the fabric. Avoid chemicals that contain bleach as these can harm the UV stabilizers reducing the life of the fabric. Where a commercial grade cleaning product is required we would suggest ‘Wet and Forget’. Make sure the sail is completely dry before storing to avoid mildew damage.

What is the best way to clean my clear PVC blinds?
The best way to clean your clear PVC blinds or screen is using a mild detergent and warm water with a soft microfiber cloth. Wet the cloth and gently wash the surface, rinse and dry with second clean microfiber cloth. Drying will help polish the clear PVC and avoid any watermarks. Remember to remove jewellery as it can cause scratching.
